Greetings Linwood Families,
Linwood Public School is happy to provide families with the following information around our Grade 8 Year End Celebration activities. These events have been selected through student voice and consultation:
Gr. 8 Year-End Activities and Celebration
June 20 – Grade 8 – Camp Day – TENTATIVE
– Tentative date for Camp Belwood Day Trip
June 21 – Celebration and Open House
During the School Day:
- Classroom activities
- Grade 8 assembly (presentation of certificates, grade 8 video)
- Photo booth
- Lunch provided
- Intramural activity
After School (7:00 – 8:30 – school gym):
- Grade 8 students and their families are invited to drop in anytime between 7:00 – 8:30 to enjoy some light refreshments and dessert as we celebrate with our grade 8 students.
- Special presentation (7:30 – 8:00) (slideshow, presentation of certificates)
- Student displays/artwork – self-paced classroom tour
- Photobooth
- No formal dress code – come as you choose
June 24 – Spirit Day
- Full school assembly
- A portion honouring the grade 8 class
- Memory Book Signing
